Fireglow is a red-leaved Japanese maple variety developed in Italy. It is similar to Bloodgood with less vigorous growth and brighter richer red color, and with a more upright habit Leaves are palmate, 5-lobed, deciduous, glowing crimson red when they emerge and shiny burgundy red in summer, turning bright red again in autumn. It commonly forms a nice evenly branched tree, almost as wide as tall with age.
