Pennisetum 'Princess Caroline' is the latest in a series of ornamental grasses from the plant breeding program of Dr. Wayne Hanna at the University of Georgia. This tri-specific cross of Pennisetum glaucum, Pennisetum purpureum, and Pennisetum squamulatum makes a 4' tall x 4' wide mound of wide, dark purple foliage, named after one of Wayne's granddaughters.
